I spent 10 years working in higher education, 7 years in hospice, 3 years in homelessness and substance use, and 4 years in domestic violence. My most recent work has brought me to a space where I am centering QTPI, Queer and Trans Pacific Islanders through creating and making space for those of us living in diaspora.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 14 plus years of experience in end of life care, counseling, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and building positive communication skills with clients of diverse backgrounds. My career as a social worker has allowed me to work with clients impacted by depression, anxiety, end-of-life issues, grief, LGBTQ issues, gender dysphoria, domestic violence, substance abuse issues, homelessness, and trauma.
Why I do this work
Through exploring the ancestral knowledge that has been passed down to me combined with my educational background as a licensed clinical social worker I have grown and continue to grow in my role as a healing practitioner. My goal is to provide healing and healing spaces that decenter colonial and capitalist systems with an emphasis on social justice. Its when we are together with community and in community that allow for the most authentic ways of healing as we access our indigenous roots and combined ancestral knowledge.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids exploring the outdoors, working in the garden, cooking and baking, and doing cross-stitch projects.
